As a premier music producer of many genres, Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley has composed hit songs for Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Ashlee Simpson and more. Timbaland came up in Virginia Beach where he collaborated with Jodeci and Aaliyah in the mid-1990s. He developed a distinct style of production that centers around syncopated drums and obscure sounds. Outside of his production for other artists, Timbaland has also released four solo albums, including three volumes of the Shock Value series. On January 30, 2013, the super-producer signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation where produced the majority of Justin Timberlake’s blockbuster album The 20/20 Experience. Since then, he has also produced Beyoncé’s “Grown Woman” and Cher’s “I Don’t Have To Sleep to Dream.” In November 2013, Timbaland revealed his new single for his fourth studio album, Opera Noir, called “Know Bout Me,” featuring Drake, Jay Z and James Fauntleroy. He signed on to serve as music producer for the hit FOX series Empire, which premiered on January 7, 2015.
