One of the most creative women in the music industry, Missy Elliott has released groundbreaking music and videos both as a performer (“The Rain,” "Get Ur Freak On") and as a producer for artists including Aaliyah, Tweet, Lil' Kim and her own cover of the Labelle classic "Lady Marmalade" featuring Pink, Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera and Mya. Born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, Missy frequently collaborates with producer Timbaland, with whom she recorded her certified-platinum 1997 debut Supa Dupa Fly.
