Joseph Kony

After more than 20 years of terrorizing the people of Central Africa, Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) have become number one on the world’s list of vicious criminals. His practice of abducting young boys for his army and stealing girls to use as sex slaves has tallied up to over 30,000 abductions since his start in 1987. Now the world wants to stop him. Fueled by the founders of Invisible Children, the initiative of Kony 2012 is to gain as many supporters as possible to both raise awareness about Joseph Kony and his ruthless reign, and keep U.S. soldiers stationed in Africa to aid Ugandan troops in their quest to capture and arrest the merciless leader.
