Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy is the 18th tropical storm and 10th storm of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. It was upgraded to a hurricane on October 24 and has affected Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas, Haiti and the Dominican Republic before making its way to the United States. It made its way up the East Coast, making it the second hurricane to hit New York City in 14 months and forcing mass shutdowns of public transportation and even the Stock Exchange.
