Raised in a Detroit trailer park, Marshall Mathers drew artistic inspiration from his troubled personal life, creating the diabolical alter ego Slim Shady. His work with producer Dr. Dre has resulted in a string of hit singles and multiplatinum albums. After a battle with prescription drug addiction, Eminem made a triumphant return to hip hop in 2010 with his Grammy-winning album Recovery.
