Busta Rhymes

Rapper/Actor

Brooklyn-born Busta Rhymes is a veteran in the music industry yet he remains one of the most energetic rap artists ever to hit a stage. A founding member of the Leaders of the New School, Busta (Trevor Smith Jr.) began recording in the late 1980s while still in high school. He released his first solo album in 1996, sparked by the hit single “Woo Hah.” Since then he has collaborated with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B including Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Diddy, and The Notorious B.I.G. Aside from his clever wordpla yand rapid-fire lyrics, Busta is known for his innovative music videos, most notably “Gimme Some More” and “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See.” His animated persona made for a natural transition to acting, and Busta has numerous film and TV credits to his name.
