NAACP President Even before his election as the 17th president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in 2009, Benjamin Todd Jealous already had a resume for grassroots work in the realm of civil rights. From community organizing during his college days at Columbia University, to serving as Director of the U.S. Human Rights Program at Amnesty International, Jealous has made equality his primary focus. His work with the NAACP has allowed him to continue this agenda and achieve gorundbreaking work.
